Job description: Business Process Analyst
Constellation seeks a Business Analyst to join our Homeland Security team in Washington, DC, evaluating the processes, people, and technology for our clients’ operations. In this role you will assist US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) by supporting a nationwide program and developing solutions to enhance existing processes, create efficiencies, and develop new solutions to further advance program goals. If you are a self-starter, great communicator, and thrive in a dynamic client work environment focused on protecting our nation’s security, we invite you to apply for this position. Key Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with client management and Subject Matter Experts to learn about their processes and identify solutions to problems.
  • Communicate effectively with program managers, developers, executives and stakeholders both in the program office and across the nation.
  • Ability to perform business process reengineering by quickly analyzing the current state, designing new solutions, developing protypes, and implementing solutions.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports for senior leadership summarizing program status.
  • Help write reports, communication packages, and briefings for executive leadership.
  • Provide training, guidance, and best practices to staff around the nation.
  • Analyze existing system and process limitations and develop recommendations on how best to integrate these disparate systems into a unified system.
  • Leverage Microsoft Office tools to enhance decision making and make it easy for staff to perform their own analysis.
  • Translate highly technical concepts and processes to general end-users.
The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or communications.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business analysis and experience working with federal government clients.
  • Strong writing and editing skills; proficiency in advanced functions of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of how Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate can be leveraged to develop solutions. Advanced knowledge preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
