Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Constellation seeks a Human Resource Analyst to join our Homeland Security team in Washington, DC. This role performs critical federal Human Resource Management (HRM) and administrative functions that align with federal guidelines and agency mission requirements. The Human Resource Analyst assists in the execution of HR-related processes and day-to-day administrative operations to ensure efficient personnel and program support. This position is responsible for weekly status reports on assigned HR and administrative activities, accurate and timely processing of HR documents and data, and properly maintaining physical and electronic reports in compliance with federal policies.
The HR Data Analyst will:
- Assist with the initiation and tracking of personnel actions (e.g., SF-52 processing, position descriptions, classification documentation).
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for federal employees and contractors.
- Maintain and update personnel files in compliance with OPM and agency guidelines.
- Support leave audits, timekeeping verification, and HR data reporting.
- Prepare correspondence and HR-related documentation in support of staffing and workforce initiatives.
- Assist with the processing of awards and recognitions for the federal workforce.
- Provide calendar and meeting support, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and note taking for staff meetings and office projects.
- Draft and edit memos, reports, and briefings for review and use by the customer.
- Perform data entry and asset management functions to include inventory of assets in accordance with agency policies.
- Provide support for maintaining the organizational source requests utilizing a centralized tracker to meet operational needs.
- Monitor and respond to routine inquiries via the shared email box or phone, escalating when necessary to the senior leadership.
- Assist with logistics and coordination of internal training, workshops, tasker responses.
The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a federal HR support role.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience administrative support role.
- Familiarity with federal HR systems (e.g., eOPF, USA Staffing, HRConnect) is preferred
- Knowledge of Title 5 HR regulations, OPM policies, and federal hiring practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP or DoD Top-Secret preferred.
