Open Source Investigator/Digital Research Analyst

Constellation is seeking Research Analysts to support the Department of Homeland Security. We are looking for candidates we can train to research and analyze information from commercial databases, open-source internet tools, and social media platforms. Selected candidates will receive on the job training in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection and analysis. You will use your research and findings to support investigations for the purposes of national security and public safety and produce reports that feature key data and analytical insights.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Analysis: Use open-source information to assess and identify risks, threats, and individuals that impact national security.

- Report Findings: Develop high-quality reports and briefings that clearly communicate your insights to senior leadership.
- Apply Tradecraft: Learn and utilize specialized intelligence tools and analytical methods to ensure the accuracy and depth of your research.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ professional work experience in any research-intensive field (e.g., journalism, audit, academic research, or investigations).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability.
- Possess high degree of digital literacy, including the ability to navigate social media platforms, public records, and online databases effectively.
- Strong critical thinking, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly.
- Successful completion of the research challenge listed in the job description.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active or Former DoD clearance or DHS suitability
- Native or proficient in foreign languages such as Spanish, Arabic, Pashto/Dari
- Previous exposure to OSINT concepts, or completion of related training courses (e.g., IntelTechniques, TCM Security, Blackhorse Solutions AD2, CASO, or SANS SEC497)
- Degree in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, or a related field
